WIRE MESH TYPES AND APPLICATIONS

Every body use household netted window screens, strainers, filters in their daily life. Such wire mesh products are made up with wire mesh of various materials like iron, copper, stainless steel, galvanized steel, carbon steel, aluminium, nickel, platinum, brass, and other metals. Each one is having distinct attribute, and so they are used in specific applications in which the materials are suitable.

What Is Wire Mesh?

Wire mesh is an item which is made through certain weaving processes using the materials like chemical fibers, silk, metal wire etc.

Wire mesh products are used in almost all the industries and there are too many variations in it. Some of the main types of wire meshes which are used now are, Stainless Steel Wire Mesh, Expanded Metal, Crimped Wire Mesh, Perforated Metal Sheet, Vibrating Screens, Woven Wire Cloth, etc.

Stainless Steel Wire Mesh: It is the meshed wire that is made up of various categories of stainless steel. It is especially used for its corrosion resisting capability in various types of chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries to assure hygienic refining like processes.

Expanded Metal: It is made by pressed metal sheets which cut in zigzag shaped frames and interlinked with diamond shaped gap. Different types of materials like aluminium, brass, stainless steel, copper, nickel and platinum. It is used in making grates, fences, furniture and construction plastering.

Crimped Wire Mesh: These types of wire mesh are manufactured by crimping distinct types of stainless steel, iron or other wires with straight weaving type. By crimping style it is classified as single crimped and double crimped wire meshes. It is specially used in household safety screening, stair step handrails, window bug screening, etc.

Perforated Metal Sheet: It is manufactured by die punching metal sheets with specific designs of holes. It is made with high tolerance quality and most types of metals depend on the application used like indoor and outdoor furnishing, security fencing, stairs, and noise control in electronic devices.

Vibrating Screens: It is actually made from wire mesh screen with metal covering edges. It is used in processes like coal, metallurgy, ores and minerals, wood pelleting, fractionated reclaimed asphalt pavement, food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

Woven Wire Cloth: It is made from stainless steel, galvanized wire, brass, PB, copper like materials. It is used mostly used in industries like food, paper, chemical, architectural etc. They can also be used for drying, filtering and transporting the food and non food items. These are also used as the decorative items in the buildings.

Wire meshes are versatile products and these are used in thousands of different industrial and household applications.
